Pressure Switches Used By the Emergency Vehicle Industry

Pressure switches (See Pressure Switch 0159) have to withstand a lot of challenging situations not only in emergency vehicles such as fire engines, but the emergency equipment they use such as fire extinguishers (See Pressure Switch 0166).

Other airport emergency vehicles include buses used by the Airport Fire Brigade to transport passengers in emergency situations. For example, SUCO Pressure Switch #0168 is used for lowering or “kneeling” the bus suspension to reduce the step height for safer entering of the bus and lowering the axis via de-airing the air bellows for gentle transport of injured passengers.

Nautical fire fighting systems with carbon dioxide use SUCO Pressure Switches (See Pressure Switch #0170) to monitor if there is gas in the system. For example, these emergency fire systems are used and in the machine room of luxury liners.
